The first synthetic sheeting for roof sealing was developed in the 50s; today they have reached a market share of approximately 30-40%. Synthetic sealing usually consist of a one-layer sealing, therefore their safe and carful execution on connections and seams must be taken into account.

Synthetic sheeting are connected via chemical (solvent) or hot air process.
